Peter sees clients from newborns to the elderly and specializes in Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy (BCST), a wonderfully natural and holistic way of addressing the pains and aches of the human body. Being a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT), he also works with the mental/emotional aspect of the struggle we call life, which will always leave its imprints on the body, as in ‘the body speaks its mind’.

Peter has treated a large number of clients with headaches/migraines, coccydynia with infertility and erectile issues as a result, and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), either congenital or acquired.

After meditating for over 35 years I can only agree, wholeheartedly, with Dalai Lama when he says:

“Any person who says that he/she does not have time to meditate half an hour each day, needs to meditate an hour a day.”

IN FOCUS: `Dr. PETER ENGMARK TAUGHT ME TO FISH

By Ralph Kruger

You know the old saying attributed to Confucius, “Give a man a fish, and you’ll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you’ve fed him for a lifetime.”  I met Peter in 2013 and for approximately two months he treated me a dozen or so times.   As we progressed Peter asked me if I was willing to try Biodynamic Cranio-Sacral Therapy.  I have always been open to a treatment, new or ancient and I was only interested in results so I readily agreed having no clue what it was anyways.

Over the decades I saw a lot of doctors. I saw a lot of practitioners, masseuses and chiropractors, but one, and only one doctor taught me how to fish and I will always be grateful to Peter for this.  I have recently regained my pilot physical and will be returning to flying at American Airlines.

Review by Team Angel Wolf

“We had been having a bit of a tough time with Rio’s seizures recently. Our feeling is that now he is 14 years old, teenage hormones are playing a big part in this….Whatever the reason, we continuously explore different ways to try to help our angel, with the struggles that he faces.

Apparently, Peter has always possessed a deep interest in the interrelationship of the body, mind and spirit. He has himself experienced and lived through long-term chronic pain, following a major car accident in 1974. Through dealing with his own pain, Peter has gained tremendous insight and developed a profound empathy for people who are suffering from physical pain, and the mental agony that it causes.

So far, Rio has seen Peter 4 times. On the first visit, I was a little apprehensive, as I realised that Rio was meant to lay down, still, on the massage table for the treatment… with him not fully comprehending the situation there was no way Rio was going to entertain the idea of even getting on the massage table, never mind keeping still! This made me anxious that I was wasting Peter’s time; but Peter, being the very kind, calm, patient, collective soul that he is, did not seem fazed by Rio’s behaviour; he just gave Rio the time and space to feel comfortable and find his own way.”

Review by Emirates Woman

“Dr Engmark was described to us as the miracle man and after one hour with the specialist we understood why.

As well as being a specialised chiropractor, he is also a trained CBT Counsellor as such he is able to determine whether the pain you are having is actually the result of a more psychological issues – often it is.

After an initial body assessment Dr Engmark corrects misalignments by gently ‘cracking’ your body. The difference you feel is instant. Migraines can disappear after one session. Trust us, we can 100 per cent vouch for this.

Dr Engmark, who is a firmer believer in mindfulness mediations, ends his sessions with a form of cranial osteopathy. Basically it feels like he is holding you head in his hands, while you lie on your back and relax. The idea is to relieve tension. Your reaction to this depends on your stress levels. Most fall asleep while others might find it uncomfortable.

Following sessions with Dr Peter can include both correcting misalignment or some patients prefer to ditch the ‘cracking’ in favour of a chat and cranial osteopathy. The choice is yours.”
